Showcase
Showcasing samples of Richard Arsenault's editing, producing, writing and directing
What is an editor?
I've worked with great artists, thinkers, and talents from Irvin Kershner (Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back) to Jim Henson (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) to Ellen DeGeneres (The Ellen Show) and Tyler Perry (For Better or Worse). Each of them had one need: An Editor's Vision. My job has been to help express vision on film, television and new media in the best way possible.

Today, the possibilities for expression are endless, and a leading editor is a key part of that expression.

A leading editor's job is far more cutting two shots together. (Today, anyone can do that.)

A strong editor is an interpreter who translates and interprets the contributions of everyone on a project from Director to D.P. and arranges all of the disparate elements and creates a voice with not a frame more or less than is required.

Editors are also the technical backbone of a production and should possess the experience and knowledge to address literally every possible challenge that arises through the finished product.

Let's bring your vision to life. Let's tell a story.
